Student Dress Code

The School Advisory Council have reviewed and reaffirmed the following dress code:

  • Children must present themselves in correct school uniform, as outlined in the Parent Handbook, at all times.
  • Grade 6 Students are permitted to wear their Year 6 shirts (Fridays, excursions/camps and representative days) and grade 6 hats (First & last terms are compulsory, the other two terms optional).
  • All Children must wear either the school broad rim hat or bucket hat when outdoors during Terms 1 and 4 especially and other times in term 2 & 3 as indicated by UV levels being above UV3.
  • A beanie is offered as an alternative during terms 2 & 3
  • Hair is to be of a ‘natural hair colour’ and plain style (e.g. not dreadlocks). For health reasons, hair longer than shoulder length must be tied back with a ribbon, headband or scrunchie in school colours, either maroon or gold (or navy blue on sports days).
  • Children are discouraged from wearing jewellery at school (eg rings, chains, bracelets etc), the only exceptions to this are wrist watches.
  • Body piercings are not allowed with the exception of one small stud or sleeper in each ear.
  • Only students in uniform will be permitted to represent the school e.g. excursions, interschool sport, etc.
  • On special occasions School Captains or others will be expected to wear the supplied school blazer.
