Our Prayer This Week

From the Principal
Dear parents, carers and community members,
After the announcement of the ongoing principalship of St Patrick's Primary School on Friday, I have received many messages of welcome and support and I am very grateful for this support. I look forward to leading the school now with a long term vision to continue to make St Pat's a wonderful place to learn and grow.
Insight Surveys

I would like to encourage all the parents who received an InsightSRC survey to, please spend the time to complete this task to help us gather the data that will influence the next five years of our School Improvement Framework. We look forward to receiving the results of as many of these as possible by the end of this week.
Fun Day

On Thursday the 15th of September, the Senior students will be conducting our "Fun Day" activities. Students from the other classes will bring along some coins to pay for the activities and games organised by our Grade 5 and 6 students. This is the second last day of term so we will have a Footy Colours Day on this day as well to mark the end of the AFL season on the school holidays. In previous years money raised on this day supplemented the cost of the Grade 6 Canberra Camp. With our change of venue, the cost of the camp is significantly reduced and the money will now be donated to the missions.
Grade 2 Historical Society and Heritage Walk

Last Thursday the Grade 2 children went on a town walk and visited the Camperdown Historical Society to discover important information about our local town history. Thank you to the teachers for coordinating the wonderful learning opportunity.
MRC Discovery Days

The Grade 6 students attending Mercy Regional College next year will have the opportunity to visit the Noorat campus next Monday the 12th of September to continue our transition process.
Because our Grade 5 students missed the transition day earlier this year, they will be travelling to Noorat this Thursday the 8th to tour the campus and take part in some activities.
Grade 1 Excursion

Our Grade 1 students will be going on an excursion to the Cudgee Wildlife Park on Wednesday 14th of September. The children will leave from St Patrick's after the morning bell and return to school in the afternoon, before the final bell sounds. Please give your permission on PAM.
Father's Day Breakfast
Thank you to the families who were able to attend our breakfast and to our Grade 3 parents who organised the sale of gifts in our stall. Thank you also to our staff who turned up very early to have everything ready for the event. The whole day was a great success.

Production Update
We are into whole school rehearsal mode for our school production and the show is progressing very well. The date of the production is confirmed as Tuesday October 11th with two shows: one @12pm and the second @7pm in the church. Please reply to your schoolzine request for expressions of interest on which show you would like to attend. We are hoping many grandparents and parents are able to attend the matinee performance.

Bus Travel

We have had communication from our bus coordinators that the behaviour of St Patrick's children on our school bus runs has deteriorated and that there are now safety concerns for the children who travel on this service. We will speak to the children here at school and we ask parents to have a conversation with their children as to how they are behaving on their bus run.
Medication Administered at School

If your child requires medication to be administered at school, please fill out the online medication form which can be found on our app and web page. The medication needs to be clearly labelled with the child's name and the dosage.
PAM Connect

We have a new field on PAM called simon connect. Documents and or questions will be added to this field that require parents to confirm and give permissions. The document and questions will show in PAM as incomplete Connect Fields, this will not go away until you have reviewed the document and or answered any outstanding questions.
If you haven't already done so please click on the incomplete symbol if one appears and review your childs/rens local excursions agreement.
SAC Meeeting

Our next meeting of the School Advisory Council will be held tomorrow, Tuesday 6th of September at 7:30pm in the school staffroom.
Catholic School Culture

Mini Vinnies - Food Drive
On Friday, Andrew from St. Vincent de Paul visited the Mini Vinnies children to thank them for their efforts and collect the donated items from the Food Drive. They had lunch together and discussed the importance of their volunteering towards helping people in the wider community. Once again, thank-you to all of the generous families who donated to the Food Dive. We are very grateful for your support and it is much needed in our wider community.
Friday Mass
St. Patrick’s children will not be attending mass this Friday morning due to MRC attending mass. Next week the Mini Vinnies children will be attending mass with Fr. Neville on Friday 16th at 9:30am and then they will be walking to the St. Vincent de Paul Centre for a guided tour.
