From the Principal
Hello to everyone,
Welcome to week 21, the first week of term 3.
I hope that the holidays were good for you. I thought they absolutely flew past very quickly! Having said that it was a great chance to take it easy & recharge the batteries.
We always hope that term 3 is one of those solid learning terms, where the children have settled into a half year of school and are really ready to fly. Once again, we hope that we can have an uninterrupted term so we can accomplish everything set to happen.
We welcome back from Queensland the Huggins family with Finn 5/6D, Alex 3/4L and Baxter 1M. We hope they once again enjoy their time at St Patrick's.
Enjoy the term ahead,
Mick
Prayer Reflection

Assembly

Online Assembly this Friday 10.45am Live streamed
COVID Update
At the moment we are the state that is sitting back & watching what's happening around Australia. Lets hope and pray that we can continue on this track and have the freedoms that we have earned.
Our school still has some protocols in place:
The main one is to keep children home from school if they are sick.
We will continue with best hygienie practices here at school.
Parents are allowed to assist in classrooms once again, so please touch base with your child's teacher if you have completed the course and would like to do this once again.
Winter Sport
Our district winter sport date has been re-set for tomorrow, Tuesday 13th of July. Netball is at the @Terang Recreation reserve, soccer is at the back of Terang P-12 and football is at the Noorat Football ground. Children will be traveling to this event via bus, please send in $5 to help cover the cost.
Parents are most welcome to attend and watch these events.
The Division winter sport games for those teams that win tomorrow will be on Monday 19th of July.
Hopefully we can have a successful winter sport campaign.
School news
We have Allison Veenstra, Bec Halloran & Julie Sinnott on leave for the next couple of weeks.
Mel Pascoe will be replacing Julie and Deb doing full time in the office.
This week we have Jordan Beard, Katerina Dombrovskaya & Hope Kerr all doing work experience here at St Pat's. We hope these former students enjoy their time here at school once again.
New Baby
Congratulations to Claire & Clinton Powling who welcome Harrison James to their family, born Friday 9/7/2021 at 3:59pm. Weighing in at 9lb 10oz (4370grams). Everyone is doing well. ️
Deepest Sympathies
Our deepest sympathies to Lou & Nick Saligari on the passing of Lou's mum Marlene Salmon. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time.
Directors Visit
Next Wednesday, 21st of July, our new director, Mr Tom Sexton will be visiting St Patrick's as a part of his rolling visits around the diocese. He will also be signing off on our recent review, as well as talking about future projects here at St Patrick's.
RE Closure Day
There will be no school for children on Monday 16th of August as St Patrick's, St Thomas' & St Colmans are involved in a teacher RE professional development day.
CSEF applications
The Camp Sports and Excursion Fund is still available for families to claim, if you have a current health care card please contact the office. This fund pays $125 per child towards the cost of excursions and camps.
School Wide Positive Behaviours Systems (SWPBS)
Our focus for the week is :
Wear the Correct Uniform & care for it.
As we begin a new term it is important to get our correct school uniform sorted. Can I ask that all families have a look at your child/ren's school uniform and ensure it is correct.
If anyone needs some support in obtaining some uniform items please let me know as the schoool can certainly help.
2022 Kinder Visit & Banana Splits visit
Term 3 Visits
The Kinder children will be here at St Patrick's this coming Thursday 15th & also on Thursday 29th July from 9.30-11.00 to do some activities in the school. All children from other local kinders are invited on these days as well.
The children will be doing some classroom based activities with Nora, Pru & Mick S and then on the 29th they will be doing some activities with Mr K as well.
This is always an exciting time as children and families begin thinking about which school they will be attending in 2022.
