Our Prayer

From the Principal

Dear parents and carers,

Just a reminder that there is no school tomorrow, Tuesday 14th of May, as teaching staff are involved in professional development.

As the weather turns colder, we are aware that many parents are looking for winter uniform options. We have a cupboard with many items of clothing that we are giving away until we can finalise our new uniform items.

Mother's Day

I would like to thank the members of our community who were able to attend the Mother's Day afternoon tea on Friday. It was an amazing opportunity for the children to express their love and appreciation to those who care for them at our assembly. I recognise that some families were disappointed about the change of timing of the event as they were unable to attend and I am sad that we are unable to cater for all.

Grade 2 Local Excursion

Grade 2 Historical Society and Heritage Walk

During our Humanities lessons, the Grade 2 children have been learning about their place in the world.  In Term 1 we explored global and local geographical places and connections. Currently, we are looking at Australian history.

This Friday May 17th, we will be going on a town walk to visit the Camperdown Historical Society. We will be finding out more about  significant people, buildings and sites in our local area.

We will be departing the school at 11.00am and returning to school at 1.30pm.  Children will be required to wear their sport uniform and ensure they have suitable walking shoes and a rain jacket in case of wet weather. You do not need to give permission for this on PAM as the Local Excursion permission form was completed at the start of the year.

District Cross Country

A large team of 51 students represented St Patrick's at the the District Cross Country event at Noorat last Friday. They competed very well and achieved some pleasing results on the day but the most notable part of the opportunity was the spirit in which they supported one another and enjoyed the day.

Uniform Review

Where to next?

The SAC have done a wonderful job with our uniform review and we have a good idea of what most of our parents see as an appropriate uniform.

We will take these designs to uniform suppliers to quote and to finalize a contract to supply the school.

We are organising some sample uniforms to be displayed in the foyer as an example of the cloth and cut we are looking for.

Pupil Free Day

This is a reminder that tomorrow Tuesday the 14th of May is a pupil free day.

Our staff will be participating in a Numeracy Professional Development in Koroit on this day.

We look forward to welcoming TheirCare to the St Patrick’s Primary School Camperdown community in 2024.
