Our Prayer

From the Principal

Dear parents, carers and community members,
We are over the half way mark of the term today and we are looking forward to better weather and dry ovals as Spring approaches. We are constantly balancing giving our children the opportunity to play outside knowing that they will get very dirty and banning our school ovals when they are just too wet.

Foundation - Lunch With The Principal

The winning house of the Foundations positive rewards ticket for the week was Nazareth who got to have "Lunch with the Principal" on Friday. It was a great chance to sit and have a chat.
CATHOLIC SCHOOL CULTURE
Making time to pray
At yesterday's Mass we heard in Matthews’ Gospel that; “Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead to the other side while he would send the crowds away. After sending the crowds away he went up into the hills by himself to pray.”
As busy parents and teachers it is immensely difficult to find time to be by ourselves. If we somehow could find time this week;
Who would we pray for?
Who would we be grateful for?
What would we be grateful for?
Who would we remember?
Good luck finding time, but it will be worth it!
Term 3 Friday Class Masses
Our Class Masses continue this week with the Grade 3/4 Mass at St Patrick’s Church. All are welcome to attend the 9.30 Friday Mass with their child’s class. The final date for the term is:
Friday 25th August - Grade 5/6
First Communion
Please keep Bailey & Tommy Fox in your prayers as they prepare for their First Communion on Sunday at St Patrick’s Church. We look forward to them keeping the memory of Jesus alive and present in their daily living.
Kind regards, Mr. S. 😃

Taster Day

On Thursday 17th of August we are holding a "Taster Day" for families to experience what it is like at St Patrick's, so that they can choose if this is the place for their child to attend school. The children at Baranbali Camperdown Kindergarten and Banana Splits on this day will attend with their teachers. If your child is not at these centres on this day or attends another preschool, you are most welcome to join us from 9:30am to 11am.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Father's Day Breakfast and Stall

Father's Day this year will be on Sunday the 3rd of September so we will be holding our Father's day breakfast and stall on Friday the 1st of September.
Father's Day Stall
We are going back to our usual structure of asking each child to bring a small gift suitable for a father or significant person in the life of the children. These will be available for purchase for $2 at the Father's Day stall in the morning after the breakfast. Please do not wrap the gifts. We are looking for Grade 3 parents to help sort and sell these in the school staffroom. If you are able to help, please contact the office.
Father's Day Breakfast
We will be holding our Father's Day breakfast on Friday the 1st of September beginning at 7:30am for our early starters. There is a $5 cost per adult or secondary student and a $3 charge for school age students. This can be paid to the office before the day or on arrival.
School Advisory Council Meeting

Our next School Advisory Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 29th at 7pm in the staffroom.
Parents Association Meeting

Our next parents meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 5th.
Please consider coming along to the meeting at 7pm in the staffroom.
