From the Principal

Dear parents, carers and community members,
Welcome back to school for the beginning of Term 3 today. We hope all our families had a safe and enjoyable school holiday and that our students are ready to return to school well rested and ready for learning. Grade 3/4 Wellbeing Day Today

Our three Grade 3/4 classes will begin term 3 today with a wellbeing day.
They will take part in three sessions:
Session One: Goal Setting
This will focus on setting individual and class goals for semester two. This will be held at school with the classroom teacher.
Session Two: Tania Rowan- Vanguard Coaching
Tania is a certified Personal Development Coach who helps young people overcome challenges and create change in their life. She has previously led a whole staff workshop focusing on strategies to use to help children with time management, executive functioning and organisational skills.
Session Three: Infinity Health Session
Nick Hose and the team at Infinity Health will lead the students through a fun and active workout, teaching them some great health and fitness tips along the way.
This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to learn life skills that will help them every day.
Parents and Friends Meeting

The St Patrick's Parents and Friends will be meeting next Tuesday the 18th of July at 7pm in the staffroom. We are hoping to use this meeting to plan and structure the fundraising events for 2024 and are seeking the support of parents in our school. We would like parents who have not been part of this group in the past to consider a one-time contribution to the meeting to help reorganise our efforts and allow planning for next year to begin at this early stage.
School Disco

Our senior students will be running a school disco on Friday the 21st of July in the Big Room at school beginning at 6pm to 7:30pm.
This is a fundraising event so there will be a $5 entry fee and snacks/drinks available to purchase. As this is National Pyjama Day the SRC have chosen the theme of a pyjama party for the dance.
Foundation - Possum Magic Workshop

COPACC are hosting a preformance by Monkey Baa Theatre Company of the Mem Fox classic, Possum Magic. They have agreed to visit St Patrick's Foundation classes to share some of their show on Monday 31st of July at 10:00am for a 45 minute workshop in the Big Room. We are looking forward to this opportunity to enjoy this beautiful story.
Robbie Burns Art Competition

We have been informed that the following children have been awarded a prize in the Robbie Burns Art Competition.
Foundation - 3rd Isla Hickey
Grade 1/2 - 2nd Harry Clarke and 3rd Willa Pope
Grade 3/4 - 2nd Liam Pascoe, 3rd - Degan Sambell and Honourable mention - Logan McGee
