The Sacrament of First Eucharist

On Sunday we celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation for fifteen of our students. Our next group of Grade 4 students will begin their preparation for First Eucharist this Friday the 9th of June in an intensive session. The remainder of the middle school will support this learning in classes until the celebration of the Sacrament on Saturday 15th (Cobden) and Sunday 16th of July (Camperdown).

From the Principal

Dear parents, carers and community members,

As we near the end of term and the half way mark of the school year, teachers have been busy using assessment tools to confirm each child's academic growth to provide accurate reports to our parents. These reports will be compiled over the following weeks and released to parents on Friday 23rd of June. Parents will be able to meet with teachers in parent/teacher meetings in the first week of Term 3. An opportunity to book these appointments will be released on PAM shortly.

Sport Uniform Returns

Hi everyone,

So far this year I have been very impressed with the energy and efforts that students have demonstrated in PE classes. These character traits have also been on show when we have competed at inter school competitions in the pool, track and field, cross country as well as the 5/6 Tri SPorts. 

I am in the process of auditing and creating an inventory of all our school sporting attire. This includes singlets, netball dresses, basketball tops, swimming caps, footy jumpers etc.

It would be of great assistance if you do happen to have any of these school items at your home could you please return them to me at school ASAP .

Division Winter Sports

Our mixed netball team and the soccer team won their events at the district winter sports and will now represent the school at the division winter sports in Warrnambool this Friday 9th of June. We hope they have a fun day with their friends and good luck with their games.

Newsletter - Term 2 Week 7

First Communion Workshop

This Friday June 9th those candidates who are preparing for First Communion will be participating in an intensive 4 hour workshop with Mr. S in preparation for their First Communion Mass. The Mass will take place on either Saturday 15th July at St. Brendan’s Cobden at 6.30 pm, or Sunday 16th of July at 11.00 am at St. Patrick’s Camperdown. The Workshop will cover all aspects of the sacrament as well as tasks to be completed in the lead up to First Communion.

Junior School Parish Mass

King's Birthday Public Holiday

Just a reminder that there is no school next Monday the 12th of June for the King's Birthday public holiday. 

School Advisory Council

Our next School Advisory Council meeting will be on Tuesday 13th of June at 7pm. Among many other things, this meeting will be focusing on the data gathered from our uniform survey.
