From the Principal
Dear parents, carers and community members,
Our closure day yesterday was spent in reflection around what is great about our school and what is needed to improve the way we operate. The day was facilitated by Brendan Maher who comes to us from an organisation called "Leading Teams". The major focus of the day was to clarify our concept of leadership and how this is lived in our school. This was the second of eight sessions to work with the whole school and our leaders and we look forward to the opportunities ahead.
Farewell and Welcome Return
This Friday we bid farewell to Tarryn Delaney from her 3/4 classroom as she commences her leave and wish her all the best for the imminent addition to her family. We welcome back Amy W and Amy P this week as they work with Tarryn for a smooth transition to the new classroom structure. Amy Wynd will teach on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and Amy Pemberton will be the classroom teacher on Thursdays and Fridays. This has worked out very well for the school and the children in this room and I thank everyone for their support with this process.
Mother's Day Breakfast and Stall

Pop this Friday 12th May in your diary for our annual Mother's Day breakfast and stall!
Breakfast will be served in the big room from 7.00am with the last being served at 8.30am.
Cost is $5 for adults & secondary school students & $3 for primary school children. You can pre-pay and send your money into school now!
This year you do not need to supply a present as the Parents & Friends have pre purchased presents for the stall. Please send your child along with $5.00.
We need a few more parent helpers from Grade 2 to man the stall on this day. If you are able to help, please contact the office. Thank you.
School Wide Positive Behaviours System
To recognise and reinforce students displaying the agreed positive behaviours in our school, we are introducing a system to identify and celebrate these behaviours.
Grade 2 Historical Society and Heritage Walk

During our Inquiry lessons, the children have been learning about their place in the world. We have explored global and local geographical places and connections. Currently, we are looking at the history of significant people, buildings and local sites. We will be going on a town walk and visiting the Camperdown Historical Society on Friday May 12th, 2023.
The grade 2's will be departing the school at 10.00am and returning about 1.30pm. Children will be required to wear their sport uniform and ensure they have suitable walking shoes and a rain jacket in case of wet weather.
'I Can' Imagination Club

If you have not registered you child to be enrolled in the program as yet here is the 2023 unique registration link for registration.
IMPORTANT - Please do not use any links you may have previously received as the above link is unique to your school and programs for 2023.
This program will start next Monday the 15th May.

Mother’s Day Prayer for Sunday
Dear Lord,
We ask you to bless all mothers.
Please watch over them and support them on earth and in heaven.
May they feel the joys of motherhood every day.
In all their struggle giving us livelihood,
May your love and compassion be with them for good.
May every mother feel today the pride and beauty of their family.
And help them to know how much they are appreciated.
Through all pain and sorrow Lord, deliver them.
In your strength and grace may they always stay.
Amen
